For Wolverhampton Wanderers, a classy Afobe was the difference and scored as Wolves beat Forest 2-1 at the City Ground.
Statistically, the 22-year-old outshone Akpom. Understandably - as he is far further down his line of development.
Akpom, though, impressed too for Nottingham Forest, suggesting there is plenty of potential there...

As Opta stats show, the strikers took just three shots between them during Wolves' win over Nottingham Forest - and Afobe scored the only goal.
Both won a similar amount of duels, took a similar amount of touches and made a similar amount of final-third passes. It was, again, ex-Arsenal man Afobe who conquered marginally in these areas - while also winning far more headers.
But Akpom showed promise at the City Ground. Fans on social media were full of praise for the 19-year-old, commenting on an encouraging performance during which he simply didn't receive enough service from his Nottingham Forest team-mates.
Afobe has proven his worth since leaving Arsenal (and during loan spells away from the Gunners) but Akpom is only just learning. He couldn't quite steal the show during his Forest debut but he just may do once he gets a couple of games under his belt.
