Stijn Vandenbroucke has given an update on the recoveries of some key West Ham players.
It is Carroll who is currently in the longest term injury, and Vandenbroucke has confirmed that he will not be back until next season, and will spend the summer working on his rehabilitation to guarantee he is back at full fitness by the start of the campaign.
Whilst it is bad news for the English striker, there is better news for the key duo of Enner Valencia and Winston Reid, who could both be back in time to face Leicester City this weekend.
Reid is confirmed to have been training properly for the first time since his injury suffered at the beginning of March, whilst Valencia has been training this week after the laceration on his toe healed.
Whilst Reid is likely to feature this weekend, Vandenbroucke did admit that Valencia is being evaluated on a daily basis to check whether he will be available.
Henry and Tomkins are the other two players mentioned, with the former also proressing well after suffering a hamstring injury whilst on loan at Blackburn. The young defender has taken the next step in his rehab by starting to walk freely after undergoing surgery.
