Tottenham Hotspur-owned Grant Ward has told Coventry City’s official website that he is enjoying his loan spell at the club.
Ward has already made himself an important part of the Sky Blues’ set-up and is delighted with his progress at the Ricoh Arena.
“I’m enjoying it,” the youngster told Coventry’s official website. “it’s good to get out and get experience as it’s a lot different to 21s, the onus is on winning here, you have to win. It’s a good thing to build that mentality of having to win.
“Maybe where we are provides pressure but it’s just something you have to deal with, it’s a good learning experience for me, it’s not always going to be rosy in football.”
Coventry are currently struggling for survival in League One, but it seems that Ward is relishing the pressure.
Competition for places is fierce at Tottenham, but at Coventry, Ward has established himself in the starting line-up.
Playing with professionals for a team who are desperate for points is going to help the Tottenham youngster get used to the pressure.
The 20-year-old is scheduled to return to Tottenham in the summer, and the experience he is getting at Coventry is certainly going to help him settle more easily in the first team.
