Sir Bradley Wiggins has secured his first victory of the season after winning the stage 3b time trial at the Three Days of De Panne.
Riding in his final time trial for Team Sky, Wiggins dominated on the 14.2km course, coming home in a time of 17min 49sec, 10 seconds faster than the runner-up Stefan Küng (BMC Racing) and 18 seconds ahead of the third-placed Alexander Kristoff (Katusha).
The victory moved Wiggins to third in the general classification with Kristoff taking the overall title, 23 seconds ahead of Devolder (Trek Factory Racing).
Wiggins’s next target is winning Paris-Roubaix, beginning on 12 April which will also be his final race for Team Sky.
