Rodney Marsh's wild suggestion: City should offer £75m + Dzeko for Harry Kane

Kane, Vertonghen, Matic, Costa

The former Manchester City striker feels the Premier League champions should bring the Tottenham Hotspur man on board.

Rodney Marsh is a fan of Tottenham's Harry Kane.

There's no other conclusion to be drawn based on his latest Kane-related observation on Twitter. Indeed, Marsh, who used to turn out for Manchester City, believes Manuel Pellegrini's side should offer no less than £75 million plus Edin Dzeko for the Spurs forward.

It's an... intriguing... suggestion to say the least but it would lead to something the ex-Manchester City man is very keen to see: Kane playing alongside Sergio Aguero.

So far from your most conventional idea, then...

Naturally, the former Manchester City man has received heavy criticism in response on social media, with several onlookers commenting that, however good Kane may be, he is yet to complete a full season in the spotlight and is also yet to taste Champions League football.

Marsh, though, is clearly a huge, huge fan of the Tottenham striker, recently suggesting he is worth £100m and that he is also a better all-round player than Angel Di Maria.

That would put Dzeko's value at £25m in the former Manchester City striker's mind, then. Certainly an interesting statement that makes a change from the typical 'yeah, Kane's a very good Tottenham player' type comments.
