Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech - but only if Hugo Lloris leaves the club.
Spurs have enjoyed a promising first season under Mauricio Pochettino, but still look likely to miss out on a top four place given that they lie seventh in the Premier League table, six points adrift of fourth placed Manchester United.
Pochettino will be desperate to hang on to star players like Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and of course, Harry Kane this summer, but Hugo Lloris' future looks a little more unstable.
Recent reports from the Daily Mirror suggested that Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing Lloris, and the offer of Champions League football could be the deciding factor in the Frenchman's decision.
Now, The Mirror also report that Tottenham have their eyes on a possible replacement should Lloris leave White Hart Lane at the end of the season - Petr Cech.
The Czech Republic international has been one of the Premier League's finest goalkeepers for over ten years now, and with more than 330 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, the 32-year-old has been a consistent performer down at Stamford Bridge.
Yet having been displaced by Thibaut Courtois this season, Cech has been most of the campaign on the bench, and given that he should have more years at the top left in him, he may well want to leave and play first-team football for next season and beyond.
A short move across London to Tottenham could be beneficial for all parties - but it all seemingly depends on whether Lloris decides to stay or go.
