Raheem Sterling was all smiles in training for Liverpool, less than 24 hours after giving a controversial interview to the BBC regarding his future at the club.
The 20-year-old winger had confirmed he has rejected a contract offer, and would not be discussing his future until the end of the season.
Sterling was also quoted by ESPN as being flattered from interest from Arsenal, who he will line up against this weekend if selected.
The England international is a key part of the Liverpool side, but supporters will not want to see any player attempt to hold the club to ransom.
His contract currently runs until 2017, but he is at present underpaid in relative terms to his importance to the first team, on the same deal he signed as a teenager.
Liverpool's match against Arsenal is a crucial one in terms of their attempts to finish in the top four and the Sterling saga has become an unwelcome distraction for the club.
