Jpmorgan Offices Still

JPMorgan has named John Horner treasurer and chief investment officer, succeeding Craig Delany, who announced his retirement last month.

Bloomberg News reports that Horner, who joined JPMorgan in 2002, was previously head of investor services at the corporate and investment bank, JPMorgan said in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Itaú BBA has hired Carlos Phillips to run its debt capital markets division in Mexico, where the Brazilian lender recently obtained permission to open a broker-dealer.

Phillips, who joined from Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA, will be based in New York and report to Baruc Saez, co-head of Itaú BBA's debt capital markets, and John Corcoran, who leads the international bond syndication group at Itaú BBA.

Finally, Reuters also reports that Citigroup has appointed Narjess Aschi as head of financial institutions corporate banking for the Middle East and North Africa region, replacing Aziz Rahman, who has moved internally to Johannesburg, according to an internal memo seen by IFR.
