Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has written in The Independent what he likes about Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph.
England international Delph is one of the best players in the Villa team and has been playing well in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old is also a regular in the Three Lions squad, having made his debut in September 2014.
Delph has since played four more games for England and was included in the squad for recent matches against Lithuania and Italy.
Former United midfielder Scholes has been impressed with the way Delph has established himself in the England set-up and has written in The Independent: “I also like the way that Delph has taken his opportunity with England since the World Cup.”
Focus for Delph will now turn to helping Villa retain their Premier League status, as the Villans are in real danger of suffering relegation to the Championship.
Tim Sherwood’s side are currently 16th in the Premier League table with 28 points from 30 matches, just three points above the bottom three.
Delph has featured in 20 league matches for Villa so far this season, creating 24 chances and having a pass accuracy of 85%.
