Manchester City media round-up: Interesting possible offer emerges for Toure

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester City.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Inter Milan would be willing to pay close to £44 million to try and sign Yaya Toure.

Toure has been linked with a reunion with former City boss Roberto Mancini at the Serie A giants.

The paper claims that he has been a target for Mancini ever since he took over at the Italian club.

The Daily Express has reported that Manchester City midfielder David Silva has no plans to return to La Liga.

Silva has been tipped to head back to Spain, with Barcelona among the sides thought to be interested in him.

However, he has confirmed that a return to his homeland is not something he’s currently thinking about.

“I am not thinking about returning to La Liga at the moment,” he said.

Manchester City linked Raheem Sterling has been critical of Liverpool in the Daily Express for the way they have timed his contract negotiations.

City are one of the sides being tipped to make a move for the talented attacker if he can’t work out an agreement with his current club.

He is thought to have turned his back on a £100,000 per week contract already during negotiations.

“If, at that point in time, I was offered a contract, I most definitely would have signed straight away,” he said.
