The English attacking pair have both mis-controlled 71 passes this season - the joint most in the Premier League.
Liverpool and Tottenham have both been linked with attacking reinforcements ahead of next season, with the Merseysiders said by Metro to be keeping a close eye on Danny Ings and Spurs keen on Saido Berahino, according to the Daily Mail.
The pair have been lighting up the Premier League this season, with claims in some corners that Roy Hodgson should have an eye on them for the England squad.
Ings has been a saving grace in Burnley’s season, with his nine Premier League goals giving Sean Dyche’s men a real chance at survival this term.
Berahino meanwhile has been in impressive form for West Brom and with 12 league goals has shown real potential.
However, examining the Opta stats for this season’s Premier League shows that the homegrown pair may well have a key area of improvement to make before signing for a club with top-four ambitions.
As can be seen below, the English duo have both mis-controlled a whopping 71 passes this season - the most of any player in the Premier League.
|Position||Team||Unsuccessful Touch||Appearances||Mins Played|
|Saido Berahino||FW||West Brom||71||30||2,316|
Ings and Berahino are followed on the list by Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, Sunderland’s Connor Wickham and Newcastle’s Ayoze Perez.
The fact that four of the top five players are English also will be a worry for the FA.
