Newcastle United are confident that talented youngster Rolando Aarons will sign a new contract, as reported by Goal.com.
The Magpies apparently feel that the prospect of regular first team football is enough to dissuade the player from looking for a move away from the club, with five top Premier League sides mentioned as interested parties.
Current Newcastle manager John Carver has made no secret of the fact he’s not afraid to use younger players in his starting line-up for big games, with Aarons someone who has already been challenged by him.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are among the sides interested in making a move for him, but the 19-year-old is already at a massive club and one of the best in the North East of England.
Goal’s report states that the player’s representatives are aware of the outside interest in him, which makes negotiations important for the club.
Should they break down, there appears to be the potential for an outside party to play on that and try to use it to their advantage regardless of the apparent connection he has to his current employers.
