To be played on Saturday 4th April 2015 at 14:00. Venue: Goodison Park, Liverpool
Odds: Everton 6/4, Draw 21/10, Southampton 19/10
Everton welcome Southampton to Goodison Park on Saturday with a remarkable 19 points currently separating the two teams.
If anyone had suggested at the start of the season that one of these two sides would be pushing for a European place come April, most would have put their money on Everton, but it is Southampton who have exceeded all expectations under manager Ronald Koeman.
They are currently sixth in the Premier League, just a single point below the Europa League qualifying spot and six points outside the top four.
As for Everton, they have struggled in Roberto Martinez’s second campaign and are currently 13th having picked up just 34 points to date.
In early team news, Everton are without Bryan Oviedo due to a hamstring injury while fellow defender Tony Hibbert is out with a knee problem and Steven Pienaar is lacking match fitness.
The Toffes also have doubts regarding Kevin Mirallas (knock), Darron Gibson (groin), Romelu Lukaku (hamstring) and Arouna Kone (knee).
As for Southampton, first-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster is out with a knee injury and Jay Rodriguez is not yet fit.
Matt Targett has a knock but is rated at 75 per cent to be back if required.
