A look at what could be Ronny Deila's best starting XI.
A huge advantage in Celtic’s bid for the treble so far this season has been the number of options available to Ronny Deila.
It’s certainly helped to have a huge squad when fighting on three fronts - as well as in the Europa League before Inter Milan knocked the Bhoys out over two legs.
But, were Deila to decide on his best starting XI right now, who would make the cut?
Defensively, due to current form and injury troubles at right-back, the Celtic boss need not change a thing. But, further forward, the Norwegian faces two tough calls.
Nir Bitton, Scott Brown, Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong are strong cases for inclusion, although squad rotation means others would certainly get their chance over a long period, too.
But two unfortunate absentees might be Kris Commons and John Guidetti. Neither would be omitted due to a lack of talent but simply reward for arguably superior players in their positions: Stefan Johansen and Leigh Griffiths.
Is this Celtic’s best XI right now?
Gordon, Izaguirre, Denayer, Van Dijk, Ambrose, Brown, Bitton, Mackay-Steven, Johansen, Armstrong, Griffiths.
