Chelsea media round-up: Cech exit stalls as rivals seek clarification

A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

The Daily Mail has reported that Arsenal are waiting for an indication from Petr Cech before they decide to move over his future.

The experienced shot stopper is expected to leave the Blues in the summer after being replaced as the club’s number one by Thibaut Courtois.

Arsenal are thought to want clarification over whether their efforts would be realistic before making a move.

The Metro has reported that Chelsea are close to the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk star Douglas Costa.

The Blues have been linked with a move for Costa over the last couple of months, as Jose Mourinho mulls over his summer targets.

The paper suggests that a fee in the region of £20 million should be enough to get him.

The Daily Express continues to link Chelsea with a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke.

The middle man has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea’s rivals Manchester United, but the paper states the Blues are the main side interested.

He could cost the Blues a massive fee somewhere in the region of £44 million if the deal happens.
