Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners can now download their extra free games for April, with more on the way later in the month.

Happy April Fool's Day! Wait, do people say that? I dunno. Anyway, something that actually isn't a prank today is the larger selection of free games in Xbox's Games with Gold program for April.

A total of six free games will be made available throughout this month as a celebration of over 100 million free games being downloaded through the program since launch.

On Xbox One, Gold subscribers can download Pool Nation FX and Child of Light from now until the end of the month. Xbox 360 Gold subscribers can download Terraria and Gears of War Judgement. I've put some brief details, and trailers, for the games below, you know, just in case you're interested.

Pool Nation FX actually launched on 1st April, and it's a Pool simulator believe it or not, with "pixel perfect physics, photo-realistic graphics and super detailed visuals." Take a look at the launch trailer below

Child of Light is a platform RPG from Ubisoft Montreal which launched just under a year ago, and received high praise from critics at the time. Take a look at the trailer below.

Terraria is the only game I've actually played (on PC) from this first lineup, so I can attest to its greatness. It's basically a 2D platformer Minecraft, but with loads more items and crazy bosses. Have a gander at the trailer.

Last up is Gears of War Judgement, the fourth entry in the Gears of War series. I haven't played a Gears game since the first one, so I can't tell you much about it, other than it received mostly positive reviews on release. Plus it's free, so you've no excuse not to try it out. Trailer below.

And that's your lot... wait, no, you can still download the previous free game offerings of #IDARB and Rayman Legends on Xbox One, so make sure you grab those if you haven't already. And when 16th April comes around the Xbox 360 games will change to offer Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel. We'll give you a reminder when that time comes, but for now, enjoy your free games!
