Fans from all over the Football League have voted Leeds United’s home ground, Elland Road, as the most intimidating ground to visit in the country.
Leeds enjoy a superb support base all over the country with bumper crowds at home, as well as thousands following the team whenever they play away from home in the league or one of the domestic cup competitions.
Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn will be delighted with the perception of Elland Road and will always encourage the club’s fans to get behind the team and to intimidate the opposition to try and give the team an advantage in big games.
He will want the passion and loyalty of the fans to continue across all matches and if Elland Road can become a fortress next season, the supporters could make the difference in tight situations as Leeds chase promotion.
Leeds have a very young side, which increases the importance of the role provided by fans because often younger players need to know they are supported to play with more freedom and to take more risks during matches.
The hard work is done for Leeds in terms of keeping themselves in the division and it’s important they build momentum, which they can now carry through to next season.
