A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane should lead the England attack against Italy after scoring his first goal in the game against Lithuania last Friday.
He’s one of England’s in-form strikers with 29 goals at club level across all formats so far this season.
Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has been quoted by FourFourTwo suggesting that the Italians have studied footage of Kane ahead of the match.
The experienced shot stopper appears to be fully prepared for what Kane might do in certain situations.
It will be interesting to see if Kane has enough to cope with the tactics from the Italians designed to keep him out of the game.
“We have watched some footage of him and of course he's going to be a threat, just as Wayne Rooney will be,” said Buffon.
Rooney has been quoted by the Daily Mail warning Kane that the Italian defence will be out to stop him by any means necessary.
The Manchester United striker feels that Kane needs to be wise to tactics from England’s opponents designed to keep the Spurs hit man out of the game.
Rooney is well placed to offer advice having played against the Italians a number of times in the past during his career.
“With Italian defenders, they’re clever defenders. They do anything to try and stop you and you have to be aware of that, and not be frustrated,” said Rooney.
