According to The Sun, Inter Milan have identified Aston Villa defender Jores Okore as a potential top summer transfer target.
Inter, with Roberto Mancini back in charge, currently lie ninth in the Serie A table, are in need of a big recruitment drive in order to restore them to their former glories.
Former Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic has struggled at the San Siro, and Mancini could look to add a new defender this summer.
The Sun believe that Aston Villa's Jores Okore is on Mancini's radar after the 22-year-old Denmark international enjoyed a decent season despite Villa's struggles.
The former Nordsjaelland star played just four times for Villa last season after a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury, but has shown his immense potential this season with a number of promising displays.
Athletically gifted, Okore has a superb combination of strength and speed, which few defenders can match - which is possibly why he's now a target for Inter.
Villa's chance of keeping the Ivorian-born defender may hinge on whether they can achieve Premier League survival under Tim Sherwood, and even if they do, the lure of playing for a team the size of Inter could be too big for Okore to turn down.
Villa also risk losing out-of-contract centre back Ron Vlaar this summer, and losing both him and Okore would be a monumental blow to Sherwood - regardless of what division they are in next season.
