Manchester United v Aston Villa
Manchester United will be favourites to win the match against Aston Villa on Saturday, but they cannot become complacent.
Manager Tim Sherwood has given Villa a fighting chance of avoiding the drop from the Premier League, and the players will put up a fight at Old Trafford.
Although United should be able to overcome the Villans, they cannot afford to concede an early goal and allow the visitors to increase in confidence.
Aston Villa v Queens Park Rangers
With both Villa and QPR fighting for survival in the Premier League, this match will be very crucial for the two teams.
Playing at Villa Park will give Sherwood’s team an advantage, and one suspects that they will use it to the maximum to eke out a win against a side who are terribly poor on the road.
Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa
This game promises to be a very interesting one, especially as this will be the first time that Sherwood will arrive as an opponent at White Hart Lane since being sacked as the Tottenham Hotspur manager at the end of last season.
Spurs will be favourites to pick up all three points, but the Villa players are more confident under Sherwood’s management and would put up a good fight.
A draw is not out of question, but Tottenham will probably just edge this one.
Manchester City v Aston Villa
Winning against defending Premier League champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium will not be easy.
However, given the vulnerability that the Citizens have shown in recent weeks, Villa should try to pick up at least a point.
