Celtic's Nir Biton recovered from injury to start for Israel against Belgium.
Celtic midfielder Nir Biton was back in action for Israel against Belgium.
The 23-year-old was picked from the start for the hosts, having passed a fitness test ahead of the game.
Biton was a substitute against Wales at the weekend but had to be helped off the field late on after sustaining a foot injury.
There were fears it could have been much more serious than it was at the time, but fortunately for club and country he was able to make a swift recovery.
He was unable to prevent Israel going a goal down to trail at half-time to a strike from Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini.
Biton was pictured chasing down Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, who he once played along side.
The midfielder was a City trialist and played for them in pre-season, even being picked in a win over Arsenal in the Far East.
He was not signed in the end, and their loss has turned out to be Celtic's gain, with Biton going on to establish himself as an important presence in midfielder over the second half of this season.
