Oppenheimer announces new hire in investment banking

Oppenheimer Europe has announced the appointment of Ian Wade as Managing Director, European Head of Telecoms Investment Banking.

Wade will report to Xavier Moreels, Managing Director, Head of Technology, Media and Telecoms Investment Banking. He has 15 years’ experience within the European telecoms market, advising on all areas of the telecoms sector. He will be based in the Company’s London office and will help grow the successful European Technology, Media and Telecoms Investment Banking franchise.

Wade started his banking career at CIBC World Markets in 1996 and joined ING’s Telecom Investment Banking team in 2006. At ING, Wade ran the Telecom Corporate Finance team. He has developed a unique set of corporate clients globally, including acting for Telenor, KPN, Canal Digitaal, Zayo, Polkomtel, Shere, Protelindo, GTS, Netia and many of Europe’s most established Private Equity firms.
