Ryan Kent, one of the best young talents in Liverpool’s academy, has signed a contract extension at Anfield.
The 18-year-old is a secondary striker who can also operate on either wing and that versatility stands him in good stead in his attempts to ultimately make it in Liverpool’s first-team.
Kent took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to confirm the news that he had extended his current deal, posting a picture of him putting pen to paper.
The news is great for the club, with Kent regularly name-checked as the most skilful player at his level when his young teammates take part in the weekly Q&A sessions for the club’s official website.
Kent has featured twice for England’s under-18s and he has two goals at that level. He has also scored two goals in seven appearances for Liverpool’s under-21s.
Along with the likes of Harry Wilson, Cameron Brannagan and Jerome Sinclair, Kent has the talent to ultimately become a star at Anfield and this news is another step on that journey.
