The standout player of Tottenham Hotspur's season has been recognised for his fine start to 2015.
When you consider Kane’s outstanding form for Spurs, that is no surprise, with the 21-year-old scoring 14 goals in just 11 league games since the turn of the year.
That is truly remarkable form and it has ensured Kane was named the sixth best striker of 2015 so far, with Chelsea’s Diego Costa the only English-based player ahead of him.
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi tops the list with Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich coming second and Wolfsburg’s Bas Dost third.
Kane has blossomed into one of the most effective strikers in the top flight and at this rate he could yet hit the 40 mark for the season.
As things stand he has 29 goals for Tottenham, while he will be hoping to add to his debut goal for England when the Three Lions take on Italy this week.
But whatever happens, there is no doubt Tottenham fans have seen the birth of a star this season; and if they do not expect too much too soon, he could go on to great things.
