England face a difficult challenge this evening in Turin, as they try and get some revenge over Italy after the Italians defeated Roy Hodgson’s team at the World Cup last summer.
All of the talk in the build up to the game has centred around Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, with the Spurs striker starting up front for the first time as a senior England player.
He scored on his debut in the win against Lithuania and shouldn’t change his approach for this game, with a good performance setting him up well for the return of the Premier League action over Easter weekend.
Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is expected to drop a bit deeper and sit in midfield, with Kane likely to have free licence up front to go and cause chaos in and amongst the Italian back four over 90 minutes.
England can make a real statement with an impressive performance and hopefully a win this evening, as Hodgson looks to further develop the current side.
