Chelsea media round-up: Blues reportedly favourites for Koke and Varane deals

Stamford Bridge Inside

A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

The Metro has reported that Chelsea are now the only side interested in signing Koke from Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona were thought to be in the running for the playmaker, but the paper claims they have withdrawn their interest.

However, a deal won’t be easy with the Spanish side thought to be holding out for a fee of around the £44 million mark.

The Metro has also reported that Chelsea are leading the race to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho is thought to be a big admirer of the French centre back, having coached him previously in his career.

A deal for Varane would cost half of any deal for Koke at a reported value of £22 million.

The Daily Mail has reported that Chelsea are one of the sides interested in signing Kuki from Malaga.

The 16-year-old star is rated as one of the brightest prospects in Spanish football and plays for Spain at under-17 level.

The Mail claims that he has a clause in his current contract, which would allow any side to sign him if they pay £4.4 million.
