Amalfitano reveals his favourite West Ham memory so far

West Ham United midfielder Morgan Amalfitano says that scoring against Liverpool is his favourite memory at the club so far.

West Ham United midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has told London24 that his best memory at the club so far was scoring against Liverpool.

West Ham beat Liverpool 3-1 earlier in the season, in what was their finest performance of the campaign to date, with Amalfitano scoring his side's third goal.

The Frenchman netted in the 88th minute to ensure West Ham got the three points and he says that it has been the highlight of his first season at the Boleyn Ground.

“I think the best moment was my first goal soon after I arrived," he said. "It was important and a good goal for the team on the day.”

Amalfitano has enjoyed a good debut season at West Ham and recently committed his future to the club by signing a new deal, meaning he will be keen to create more memories in the coming years.

His current favourite goal will certainly take some beating, though. West Ham beat Liverpool during a time when their season was at its most exciting.

The Hammers had started the campaign well and were riding the crest of a wave when they beat Liverpool, with optimism high around the London club.

Unfortunately, this positivity has decreased as the season progressed and there is now a lot of frustration around the Boleyn Ground, as the side's form has tailed off.

The Hammers will be looking to end the season on a high note, though, and Amalfitano will be hoping that he can create a new memory during the remaining fixtures by playing a big part.
