Why it is a no-brainer for Manchester United to pursue Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale scored twice for Wales amid criticism from the Spanish media for his recent performances for Real Madrid.

There may never be a better time for Manchester United to pursue Gareth Bale.

The Welshman, who scored twice and set one up as Wales cruised to the top of their Euro 2016 group with a 3-0 win over Israel on Saturday, could be on the way out of Real Madrid this summer after intense criticism for his recent performances in Spain.

His relationship with Madrid’s fans has deteriorated drastically in the last few months.

In fact, it has gotten so bad that his car was vandalised after he missed a golden opportunity during last weekend’s defeat to arch-rivals Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Whilst Bale brushed off his critics following his heroics for Wales, per the Daily Star, both United and their Premier League rivals are said to be on red alert as one of the best players in world football could be available this summer.

Bale has everything that United and Louis van Gaal need. He has unbelievable pace and power and can score bags of goals from anywhere but, crucially, he is a star who could turn the Red Devils back into title contenders.

With United winning the race for Champions League football next season and with an almost unlimited budget at van Gaal’s disposal due to the club’s revenue and sponsorship deals, they would have no problems attracting a player of Bale’s calibre should Madrid wish to replace him.

There is no doubt that the Welsh superstar would be more appreciated at Old Trafford than he currently is in Spain.

Although most United fans do not want to swap him for goalkeeper David De Gea, when a player like Bale becomes available for transfer, it is an absolute no-brainer whether you should sign him or not.

His arrival alone could make United favourites for next season’s Premier League title.
