The academy star is following the path of Harry Kane by completing his footballing education in the lower leagues to earn a chance at White Hart Lane.
The 20-year-old is very highly thought of at White Hart Lane, having starred for the club's youth sides, with hopes surely existing that the academy star can replicate the way Harry Kane has moved from young talent gaining first-team experience at lower league clubs to genuine Premier League star.
Coulthirst's loan at York is his second of the season, after spending much of the campaign at League Two playoff challengers Southend United. The Londoner only managed to score 4 times in his 22 appearances at Roots Hall, but he has proved with his double against Mansfield that he has what it takes to gets goals in league football.
The Spurs man was also on loan last season, where he scored once in two appearances at League One side Leyton Orients, and also registered two goals in his six games at Torquay United in a separate spell.
Coulthirst has already sampled first team football at Spurs too, having made his debut in the Europa League in the 4-1 win over Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.
It will be interesting to see if the young attacker can add to his goal tally between now and the end of the season, with York just three points of the relegation places.
