The future of Liverpool winger Sterling has come under speculation in recent weeks due to his reported refusal to sign an extension to his current contract.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month than European giants Madrid and Bayern are interested in signing Sterling.
Former Middlesbrough and Sheffield United forward Fjortoft, who is now a renowned Bundesliga expert, does not seem to believe of such interest in Sterling.
So apparently Arsenal and Bayern Munich want Sterling. My guess: Agent apparently wants to put pressure on Liverpool— Jan Aage Fjortoft (@JanAageFjortoft) March 29, 2015
Sterling has been playing regularly for Liverpool for almost two years now and has established himself as a key player for Brendan Rodgers’s side.
The youngster scored nine goals and created 51 chances in 33 Premier League appearances last season, while having a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 67%.
So far this campaign, Sterling has scored six goals and created 62 chances in 28 league matches, while having a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 56%.
Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 54 points from 30 matches, five points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
