Crystal Palace manager ratings: How does Pardew compare to his predecessors?

Crystal Palace Selhurst Park

We rate Crystal Palace's recent managers.

Alan Pardew - 7/10

Crystal Palace's current boss has rescued their season and the club seem to be heading in the right direction under his stewardship.

With a renewed sense of optimism, Selhurst Park is a very happy place at the moment and this positivity will be something Pardew looks to build on heading into next season.

He has already had a massive impact since arriving and, although the biggest test for him will come next season, Pardew has made an encouraging start.

Neil Warnock - 4/10

The appointment of Warnock looked a strange one right from the start and it was no real surprise when he lost his job.

Although wins over Everton and Liverpool will live long in the memory, Palace were heading backwards under Warnock's stewardship and his record of just three victories in his 17 matches in charge was poor.

Tony Pulis - 9/10

The job Pulis did at Palace cannot be underestimated, even if his time at the club ended in undesirable circumstances.

Pulis took a team which looked destined for relegation and made them into one of the Premier League's most feared outfits.

He won 12 of his 28 games in charge at Palace and remains their finest manager of recent times.

Ian Holloway - 6.5/10

Palace seemed to be going backwards under Holloway's guidance, but he guided them back to the Premier League with a successful playoff campaign in the 2012-13 season and, for that, he deserves great praise.

Although Holloway couldn't get Palace to be successful in the Premier League, he helped them get to the position they currently are in.

Dougie Freedman 6.5/10

Freedman laid the foundation for Palace's successful promotion season and he can take great pride in the job that he did at Selhurst Park.

He brought stability to the club and helped them start moving forward, even if he may regret leaving, given the way his career has gone since.
