Chile midfielder Charles Aranguiz has admitted to the Daily Mirror that joining Arsenal this summer would be a dream amid speculation of a move to North London.
Aranguiz, 25, impressed at last summer's World Cup but wasn't snapped up by a European team, instead joining Brazilian side Internacional on a permanent deal back in June 2014.
A talented midfielder, Aranguiz has been highly-rated for some time, and recent speculation in Chilean newspaper Zero Hora suggested that Arsenal were keen to lure him to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
Manager Arsene Wenger will have had the perfect opportunity to run the rule over Aranguiz on Sunday, given that he was facing Brazil in an international friendly at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium home.
Brazil won the game 1-0, and unsurprisingly, Aranguiz was asked about the Arsenal speculation after the final whistle - and, as reported by the Daily Mirror, he admitted that it would be a dream to join the Gunners, but doesn't know of any interest from Wenger's men.
"I don't know anything about it," said Aranguiz. "I've heard about it through the press but nobody has talked to me. They're a great team, and it would be a dream, but for now that's all it is... a dream."
Aranguiz is of course an international team-mate of Gunners hero Alexis Sanchez, and a North London reunion would surely be appealing to Aranguiz.
Zero Hora seemed convinced that Arsenal had been tracking Aranguiz for almost a year now, so maybe his dream of a move to Arsenal will be realised this summer.
