United fans react on Twitter to Fellaini's two-goal performance for Belgium

Marouane Fellaini Belgium

Belgium defeated Cyprus 5-0 on Saturday with Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini scoring twice.

It seems Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s outstanding and unexpected turnaround is complete.

After proving to be a highly-effective option for his club, the former Everton midfielder put in a man-of-the-match performance for his country against Cyprus on Saturday, scoring two wonderful goals to help them to a 5-0 win.

Fellaini has divided opinion since he signed for United but this season, manager Louis van Gaal has used him brilliantly and his brace this weekend only continues to show what he can do when he is on-form.

The United midfielder opened the scoring for Marc Wilmots’ side midway through the first half and after Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke had doubled the advantage, Fellaini put the game to bed with his second and Belgium’s third.

Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi completed the rout to ensure Belgium climbed above Cyprus in Group B and kept in touch with the top two – Israel and Wales.

After the match, we took to Twitter to see what United fans thought of Fellaini’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
