Tottenham are reportedly considering Torino defender Kamil Glik.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a summer move for Torino defender Kamil Glik.

The Sun report the Italian side are open to selling the centre-back for £8 million and the Premier League side are checking out the possibility.

Glik has played 22 times in Serie A this season and been a real threat from the back, scoring six times, making him their second highest top scorer behind Fabio Qualiarella (10).

He is a Polish international with 29 caps and three goals to his name, and is 27-years-old.

Glik has a contract until 2017 and cost Torino just £2 million from Palermo back in 2012.

He is a former Real Madrid trainee, playing two seasons with their C team early in his career before moving back to Poland.

The big question comes as to whether Tottenham really need him. At present they have Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio battling for positions, and young Cameron Carter-Vickers coming through the academy.

Vlad Chiriches is likely to be moved on and he is the man Spurs would be replacing in the squad with Glik, should they deem their young talent not ready to step up.
