The struggling Liverpool forward seemed to enjoy his day out in the All-star charity match.
The Liverpool striker looked more than happy as he shared his selfie space with Premier League goal-machines Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry. The 24-year-old took to Instagram to post the picture and may well be taking some tips from the deadly duo on how to be a consistent success in the English top flight.
The three were just some of a number of footballing superstars to turn out in Sunday's All-star charity match at Anfield.
Many of those that appeared have some affiliation to Liverpool, though in the case of Chelsea legend Drogba and Arsenal favourite Henry, they were the tormentors over the years rather than the heroes.
The match ended 2-2, with Balotelli, playing for Reds icon Jamie Carragher's side, influential throughout as he scored the goal of the game from 25-yards as well as providing a sublime pass for Drogba to find the net. Departing Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard scored two penalties to make sure there really were no losers.
Balotelli's impressive show was just what was needed for his Anfield career, which has too often struggled to get going since his summer move from AC Milan. With just one league goal to his name, it is great for the former Manchester City forward to show the Reds faithful that he is a talented player, as well as experience what it means to be part of the Liverpool family.
If he can play with confidence, and a smile on his face like he exhibited on Sunday, Balotelli may just have a future on Merseyside.
