Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Jerome Sinclair's All-star performance

Among all the big names on show for Liverpool's All-stars this weekend, a promising teenage striker did his best to stand out.

Liverpool players past and present – along with a few more familiar to the supporters of other clubs – took part in an All-star charity match this weekend, with Steven Gerrard’s side going head-to-head with that of former Reds defender Jamie Carragher.

The match saw the likes of Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina return to Anfield, along with a whole host of faces familiar to the Liverpool faithful.

Among those greats were some young players trying to make a name for themselves alongside the daunting company, and 18-year-old striker Jerome Sinclair did himself no harm at all.

The teenager is currently making waves in Liverpool’s under-21 side, scoring three goals in eight appearances while netting an additional six in just seven UEFA Youth League appearances this season.

Sunday's match finished 2-2, with Mario Balotelli and Didier Drogba scoring for Carragher’s side and Gerrard himself pulling his side back into it with two spot-kicks.

Sinclair had chances to score himself and his fine dribbling skills were on display, so it will be interesting to see exactly when Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers deems the youngster ready to add to his only appearance for the senior side to date, as a late substitute in the League Cup.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Sinclair’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
