The Frenchman was pleased to see Kane score for England on Friday.
It has certainly been a memorable season for Harry Kane. The Tottenham Hotspur striker has netted goals for fun and now has e even got off the mark on his international debut. He scored after just 70 odd seconds of England football, to score his 33rd goal in all competitions for club and country this season.
His form has seen him win the Premier League Player of the Month award twice in a row. With that in mind, some are even beginning to suggest he might be in with a shout of the PFA Player of the Year award.
He seems a shoe-in for PFA Young Player, but could he do the double.
The last Tottenham Hotspur player to win the Player of the Year award did just that, when Gareth Bale picked up the double gong in 2013.
The Frenchman won it in 1998-99 after a dazzling season at White Hart Lane.
This weekend he was Tweeting his joy at the performance of Kane, and how pleased he was to see Wayne Rooney congratulating his new striking rival.
Spurs fans will be hoping that Kane can follow in the footsteps of Ginola and Bale this season.
