Celtic's manager has been reflecting during some brief downtime at the club.
Celtic have enjoyed a wonderful recent spell, winning the Scottish League Cup, qualifying for the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup and moving five points clear at the top of the league.
But after so much football in a short space of time, and with many encounters with Dundee United across all three competitions, Deila now has the chance to take stock before the final furlong in the race for a potential treble.
“We need some days off and it will be good to have them,” Deila said. “I will see my kids and spend some time with them.
“The players will get some days off at the weekend and they will need that to recover and get their energy back again.”
Celtic’s next match is a league game against St Mirren on Friday and the clashes come thick and fast thereafter, with Partick Thistle, Inverness and Kilmarnock all to be faced before the middle of the month.
Deila likes what he is seeing from his Celtic side at this time, adding, “I see a lot of enjoyment among the players which is very good.”
It is brilliant that Celtic’s players are enjoying their campaign, which could yet prove to be one of the best in their illustrious history.
