Three potential La Liga targets for Newcastle

Newcastle United have had scouts watching La Liga matches throughout the season.

The Chronicle reports that Newcastle United are looking to sign the bulk of their players this summer from Spain.

Newcastle have scouted La Liga heavily over the past few months and they reportedly feel that there are bargains to buy in the country.

In this piece we take a look at three potential targets for Newcastle, as they begin thinking about summer additions.

Alberto Bueno (Rayo Vallecano)

The striker has been impressive in La Liga this season and if Newcastle do want to sign an in-form striker then he could be an ideal choice.

Only Lionel Messi, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Bacca have netted more goals than Bueno this season and he could represent a bargain buy this summer.

Rayo Vallecano are not one of the strongest clubs financially in Spain and if the Magpies did make a presentable offer then they may be forced to accept.

Bueno has scored 15 times in 27 appearances this season and may feel that he has a point to prove in England after a failed loan spell at Derby County earlier in his career.

Giovani Dos Santos (Villarreal)

The Mexican international would bring a huge amount of quality to St. James' Park and would enhance their attacking threat considerably.

Although Dos Santos may not be the most proven goalscorer, he possesses masses of technical ability and would be a real source of creativity for the Tynesiders.

If put in an attacking partnership with Remy Cabella, Newcastle would be blessed with one of the most skilful front-lines in the Premier League and it would bring a lot of excitement to the club.

Kevin Gameiro (Sevilla)

A striker who has been well known for fans of European football for some time, Gameiro has scored goals in France and Spain.

The 27-year-old has netted 33 times in 71 appearances for his current club, Sevilla, and he would add a lot of quality to Newcastle's striking ranks.
