Tim Sherwood is reportedly keen on the Danish youngster.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is reportedly already eyeing up transfer targets for the new season, including a new goalkeeper to add to the ranks.

Brad Guzan is the current number one, but only veteran Shay Given challenges him for that spot. With that in mind Villa are said to be interested in Danish stopper Martin Hansen of ADO Den Haag.

Bold report that Villa sent scouts to watch the player in action last weekend in the fixture against Ajax. The ADO stopper, who has yet to play for the full Denmark national team, only joined ADO last summer after spells with FC Nordsjaelland and Viborg in his homeland.

If his name does sound familiar however, then you are probably a Liverpool or Bradford City fan. Hansen was a youth team player at Liverpool, after joining from Brondby in 2006. He spent six years at the club before departing in 2012 for Viborg. He spent a month on loan at Bradford in 2011.

Now a starter for ADO he is clearly catching the eye in the Eredivisie if Aston Villa are said to be scouting him.

Time will tell if this ex-Liverpool starlet gets his chance to prove himself in England after all.
