Three of Leeds United's next generation have celebrated their latest under-18 victory.
While Leeds United’s senior stars focus on international matters or take a well-earned rest in the next few days, the club’s next generation continued their campaign in earnest.
Leeds’ under-18s defeated their Queens Park Rangers counterparts 2-0 on Saturday morning, with Isaac Assenso and Tom Lyman scoring the goals.
The win was Leeds’ first victory in three attempts, after they lost to Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest earlier in the month.
But the young side got back to winning ways in fine style and they will now be looking to break into the top six in the under-18 professional development table.
After the match, some of Leeds' young players took to social media to express their happiness at a job well done, including young striker Robbie McDaid, midfielder Michael Taylor and forward Piteu Crouz.
All three players hailed the great performance and it will be interesting to see which of these youngsters ultimately make it at Elland Road as so many have before them.
