Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong says he was delighted to have scored against Switzerland for England's under-18 side yesterday.
Armstrong bagged the only goal of the game as England beat the Swiss 1-0 at St. George's Park and he was obviously delighted to have had such an impact.
Good 1-0 win v Switzerland today! Glad to be on the score sheet! Thanks for all the messages!— AdamArma (@AdamArma9) March 26, 2015
Armstrong has been a regular scorer for the England U18 side and he now has four goals in four games for his country.
It is an impressive record and it only heightens the excitement about his potential with Magpies' supporters.
Armstrong is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to have come through at St. James' Park in some time and the hope is that he can build on his 14 first-team appearances to date.
His display against Switzerland will have done his chances no harm, should Newcastle's scouts have been watching, and he was also praised by his international teammate on Twitter.
RC Lens youngster Taylor Moore was quick to post on the social media site, congratulating Armstrong on his winning goal.
