A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour claims Harry Kane reminds him of Tottenham Hotspur legend Teddy Sheringham.
Parlour told talkSPORT that he sees similarities between the pair, having played Sheringham during the main period of his career.
If Kane can become half as consistent as popular as the former Spurs and England striker, he’ll have done well.
“Very much like Teddy Sheringham in the way he picks the ball up and brings others into play, he's got a really good football brain on him,” said Parlour.
Sir Geoff Hurst has been quoted by the Daily Mail suggesting Harry Kane resembles Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.
Muller has been one of the German side’s most consistent players over the last couple of years and he’s also played well for his country.
Hurst feels there are similar characteristics between the German and England’s man of the moment.
“Harry is a bit like Thomas Muller, the Bayern Munich and Germany forward. On your first glance at Muller, he doesn’t look like a footballer. He has his socks down his shins, looks ungainly,” said Hurst.
The Daily Mail has reported that Gareth Southgate and Mauricio Pochettino are due to sit down and discuss the under-21 future of Harry Kane.
Kane, currently part of the England senior side, stands a good chance of making his debut tonight for Roy Hodgson, with the possibility of performing at the under-21 Euros this summer.
England want him to go to that tournament while Spurs reportedly want him to go on an end of season trip to Australia.
