Liam Brady has said on BT Sport’s Football Tonight show that at the moment Olivier Giroud is a better player than Harry Kane.
Both Giroud and Kane have been in good form in recent months, helping their respective clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur maintain the challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
As the following Opta Stats table shows, Tottenham striker Kane has been better than Arsenal star Giroud so far this season, although one needs to consider the fact that the latter has been affected by injuries.

Former Arsenal and West Ham United attacker Brady, though, believes that at the moment Giroud is a better player than Kane.
“No, I don’t think he (Kane) is better than Giroud at this moment in time, but he is 21 years of age and he is going to get better, so he has got every chance of becoming a better player than Giroud,” Brady told BT Sport’s Football Tonight show on Monday when asked if Kane is better than Giroud.
“I have been so impressed with the work he has done for the team. He has been absolutely outstanding.
“They are both in good form, they are both scoring a lot of goals, we are happy with what we have been got, but Tottenham should be very, very happy with this lad.”
Giroud is an established Premier League star who is also a regular in the France national team, while Kane is enjoying a breakthrough season and has only recently been called up to the England squad.
It makes sense to suggest that Giroud is a better footballer at this moment in time, but Kane is only 21 years of age and has time on his hands.
The Spurs youngster has shown that he can score all kinds of goals from all kinds of positions, and this attribute is certainly going to come in handy as he progresses in his career.
