Juan Mata may just be the nicest man in world football.
Juan Mata is well known to be a classy professional, but it looks as if his on-pitch personality spreads to his off-pitch style as well.
As published on the official Manchester United Facebook page, the 26-year-old Spaniard presented an employee of the Red Devils with a United shirt on his 15th anniversary of working at Old Trafford.
Having arrived in Manchester last January, Mata has been in and out of the United team, and has failed to hold down a consistent role. Yet that has not diminished his apparent admiration for the club, and it is acts like these that make the former Chelsea maestro adored by the majority of those involved with the Red Devils.
Mata is seen as one of those players that transcends Premier League rivalries, and is appreciated by all for his classy ability and genuine manner. Much like Gianfranco Zola and Thierry Henry, the playmaker is one of those players that you always want to see succeed, even if it is against your own team.
A classy player on the field, Mata has proven that he is just as gentlemanly off it as he is on it, and he may just be the nicest man currently playing professional football.
