Manchester United fans react to Radamel Falcao's performance for Colombia against Bahrain

Radamel Falcao

Falcao found the net twice for Colombia against Bahrain last night, with some fans wondering why he can't at Old Trafford.

Radamel Falcao did something that he hasn't done enough of for Manchester United last night for Colombia in their game against Bahrain - and that was get himself on the scoresheet.

Falcao's problems at Old Trafford are well documented as he has failed to hold down a regular starting place at Old Trafford, and only found the net on four occasions since he arrived at the club on loan from Monaco.

The goals should do the forward's confidence some good, even if he was playing against a side that is ranked 103 in the world in a 6-0 thrashing, but there were signs of that instinct that made him the prolific striker that gave him the reputation of being one of the most feared finishers in world football.

There was an element of joking on twitter from Manchester United fans in reaction to his performance, some suggesting it would be good for United to play opposition of the calibre of Bahrain regularly, or make Falcao think he is playing for Colombia.

But some would like manager Louis van Gaal to give him more of a chance between now and the end of the season, but the Dutchman may be reluctant to do so given how effectively his side has operated in the most recent two Premier League wins over Tottenham and Liverpool.

Here's what a few fans had to say on twitter:
