Gary Gardner has welcomed Chuba Akpom to Nottingham Forest, after the Arsenal youngster completed a move to the City Ground yesterday.
Akpom has joined Forest on loan until the end of the season and he will be expected to add pace and power to their attacking ranks.
The England youth international is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the country and there are high hopes for his future at Arsenal.
Akpom will now be looking to show his class at Championship level, where he will be looking to make the most of his first-team opportunities.
Forest are still hoping to make it into the playoffs, but they will need to win the majority of their remaining fixtures if they are to do so.
It means that an injection of quality should help their chances of getting promoted and Gardner clearly is pleased with the addition of Akpom.
As things stand, Forest are 10 points away from the top six so the pressure is on Akpom to hit the ground running.
His first chance to impress could come next weekend, where he will be hoping to get off to a flying start by scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
