Chelsea media round-up: Blues reportedly close to Emenike agreement

A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

The Metro has claimed that Chelsea are reportedly close to doing a deal for striker Emmanuel Emenike.

The paper claims he is keen to leave his current side Fenerbahce because he doesn’t get on with their supporters.

The report suggests that he would cost a fee of around £16 million, which the Blues would be able to afford.

GDN has reported that Chelsea icon John Terry has signed a new one-year deal at the club.

Terry is one of the most experienced players in the current Chelsea side and has been one of their best players so far this season.

Manager Jose Mourinho says the contract is not simply a thank you to Terry for his services to the club.

Terry has explained, as quoted by Goal, that in his youth he was willing to do anything for the club.

He’s a one club man and his progress has come ever since he broke into the first team as a talented youngster.

He’s revealed the lengths he was willing to go to in his younger days in order to please his seniors.

“I’d do anything for them. I’d make their teas and coffees, even silly things like sit on the toilet to make the seat warm for them in the cold winter days,” he said.
