The pair already play together for the England set-up.
Yesterday saw Nottingham Forest finally bring in a new striker for their depleted ranks. The club lost top scorer Britt Assombalonga earlier this year with a serious knee injury that will see him out of action until the end of the season.
Dexter Blackstock and Matty Fryatt have performed admirably in his absence but they needed another striker on the books.
Yesterday they snapped up promising Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom on loan until the end of the season. The striker, who has banged in the goals at youth level, will now be hoping to do the same at the City Ground.
One player who should know Akpom reasonably well is exciting Forest youngster Ben Osborn. The midfielder, who has been in great form recently, is in the England under-20 squad at the moment with Akpom.
The pair were on the same side earlier this week as England defeated Mexico on penalties. Akpom scored the equalising goal in the game, which was Osborn's first start for the age group.
Akpom not only scored the penalty, but won it, after being taken out by the Mexican goalie when through on goal.
Akpom then went on to score in the shoot-out as England prevailed 4-2.
Now the pair will get to face off against the USA at Home Park this Sunday, before becoming team-mates at club level with Nottingham Forest.
