Ayew's contract expires this summer and the potential to sign a player of his quality is interesting a number of teams.
Newcastle United are said to have already made contact with Ayew in the Chronicle, but it seems that Everton are set to rival them for the 25-year-old.
Would Ayew be a good buy for Everton?
Everton do need to increase their attacking options and Ayew could be an attractive bargain acquisition for the side.
At the moment the Toffees have the likes of Aaron Lennon and Christian Atsu at their disposal, but the pair are both on loan and set to return to their parent clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea respectively, at the end of the season.
It means that Roberto Martinez is likely to be on the lookout for a winger and Ayew would make a suitable long-term addition for the Merseyside outfit.
Ayew has scored seven goals in 22 appearances this season and he appears to have all of the attributes required to fit in well at a Premier League club.
